CLICK HERE TO LOG INTO THE LIVE SESSION HOSTED IN CANVASVirtual reality has been available for about four years. For one thing, this technology suffered from numerous handicaps making its deployment in K-12, distance learning and the school environment difficult.
For another, this technology arrived at a certain level of maturity with stand-alone devices, finger tracking, and collaborative environments.
Furthermore, social distancing due to COVID-19 offers golden opportunities for learning organizations to implement education through virtual reality, as it minimizes direct contact between people.
We invite you to join Proteus, a company resulting from a PhD project at the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal, which involved the development of an interactive virtual reality platform through on-site or distance learning. Proteus has developed several pilot projects with e-learning schools to test and demonstrate the use of virtual reality in various learning contexts.
The interactive presentation consists of a demonstration of the technology, an explanation of the workshops and laboratories, and of a Q&A concerning implementation and availability.
